REQUIREMENTS
Due to business expansion, our client had acquired a new storage facility to be used as a new distribution centre in Birmingham to house the increased number of core products.
PROPOSAL
Through previous good relationships forged at other branches through the UK, Racking365 (UK) Ltd were invited to site to discuss how we could assist them and provide the right solution.
There were various types of pallets sizes to accommodate, which required flexibility & 100% accessibility to each product. Therefore, after on-site meetings and discussions. We issued a detailed CAD drawing which specified the installation of adjustable pallet racking with close boarded timber decking levels – this was agreed to be the best solution to allow for maximum flexibility of the products being stored. This option provided 1312no pallet locations.
SPECFICATION PROPOSED
- 150no bays of BITO Adjustable Pallet Racking
- 6000mm H x 900mm x 2700mm
- 4no levels per bay (2000kgs)
- 656no levels of close timber decking
- 152no Rack Armour guards
- 10no rack end barriers
Once we had received the official order, we were able to commence work on site.
The installation took place over 8 days, and through regular site visits and communication from both parties, the project was handed over on time and signed off with SEMA load notices and without any issues.
THE RESULT
Racking365 (UK) Ltd were able to create a solution that provided capacity for the majority of the new stock infantry. And we shall return in June 2023 to carry out their annual SEMA rack inspection.
