Stores 4 Racking Replacement – Wisbech

Location: Wisbech
Completion Date: January 2026
Client: Logistics Company, Wisbech

Project Overview

In January 2026, Racking365 (UK) Ltd completed a full pallet racking replacement within Stores 4 for a well-established logistics company based in Wisbech.

The existing racking system had become obsolete and no longer met the operational or safety requirements of the site. Following consultation, a complete dismantle, removal, and replacement programme was agreed to ensure long-term safety, compliance, and improved storage performance.

Dismantle & Removal

Our team safely dismantled the existing racking system and removed all redundant materials from site.

  • Full strip-out of obsolete pallet racking
  • Segregation of materials
  • Responsible disposal into metal skips
  • Safe working procedures maintained throughout

All works were carried out by SEIRS trained engineers, ensuring full compliance with industry safety standards during dismantling and installation.

New Installation

We supplied and installed the Link 51 XL Pallet Racking System, designed to meet the demanding requirements of a busy logistics operation.

Configuration included:

  • 1 single run – 17 bays
  • 1 double run – 17 bays
  • Frame dimensions: 7000mm (H) x 900mm (D) x 2700mm (bay width)
  • 4 beam levels
  • 3000kg load capacity per beam level
  • 3900mm beams per run

The 7000mm high frames maximise vertical storage space while maintaining operational efficiency and safe aisle clearances. Finished off with Rack Armour Upright Guards and end barriers.

Compliance & Standards

The installation was completed in full accordance with SEMA guidelines, ensuring:

  • Correct SEMA load notices installed
  • Manufacturer-specified assembly procedures followed
  • Safe load capacities clearly defined
  • Full structural compliance

With SEIRS-certified engineers and adherence to SEMA best practice, the client can operate with confidence in the safety and integrity of their new storage system.

Project Outcome

The completed project has delivered:

✔ Replacement of an old obsolete racking system.
✔ Increased storage reliability and structural integrity
✔ Heavy-duty 3000kg per level performance
✔ Improved warehouse safety and compliance
✔ A future-proof storage solution tailored to operational demand

The logistics company now benefits from a robust, fully compliant pallet racking system built to support high-throughput warehouse activity for years to come.
